Traffic Safety
As an important safety reminder, parents dropping their children off cannot enter the area in front of the cafeteria where busses unload students. Students should only be dropped off and picked up in front of the school near the main office (flag pole).
We all must follow these guidelines to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Mai Richmond
Please congratulate Mai Richmond, who was one of three students from Massachusetts to be awarded the highest national honor in the 2022 National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards in Writing: A Certificate of Superior Writing. Congratulations Mai!
Attendance Policy
We are continuing with the same attendance protocol for students that we implemented during Q4 of last year. If you are new to CCHS or not familiar with the policy, please review the link below. We are hopeful that this procedure will continue to help students attend all classes and arrive on time.
Parking

Locker Rooms
It has been brought to our attention that there have been several incidents of theft from the Locker Rooms . It is unfortunate to have to address this, however, it is clear that we need to. If a student is found stealing someone else’s belongings, they will face disciplinary action and possible involvement with our School Resource Officer.
Having personal property stolen is a terrible feeling and not something we want our students to endure. If you use the Locker Rooms, please be proactive by securing your belongings, especially your valuables, in a locker. Please see our Athletic Director, Mr. Joncas, if you are an Athlete who needs assistance obtaining a locker.
Kicks for Cancer
The 16th annual Kicks for Cancer event was held on Saturday, September 24. The event has grown from a single soccer game to a weekend of games (ultimate frisbee, football, volleyball, field hockey, and soccer) and also including the annual Pink Dance on Friday evening. It was a wonderful weekend with lots of Patriot Spirit! Thank you to all those who participated and contributed. We are already looking forward to next year’s Kicks!
Guest Speakers
On September 23, CCHS welcomed two guest speakers to meet with our students during an assembly.
Grades 9 & 10 listened to Aaron Polansky, a Superintendent, Author and Motivational Speaker. The goal of Aaron’s talk was to inspire students to be honest, kind, and most importantly to be themselves.
CCHS Trips
They’re back! CCHS Trips are back for the 22-23 school year. After taking pause during the height of the Pandemic, several trips will be happening this school year.

World Language Trips:
Over February Break, students enrolled in French 2 or higher will participate in an exchange with a high school in Versailles, France (this trip is currently full. Next year Versailles students will visit us here in Concord).
Over April Break, Latin students will travel to Italy and to see and experience the ancient world (this trip is currently full but will be offered again in the future).
In-School Digital AP Exams
Schools located in the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., have the option to administer a digital exam in seven AP subjects: English and history exams, AP Computer Science Principles, and AP Seminar. Learn more about digital AP Exams.
For all students CCHS has opted to administer the ONLY following AP Exams in a digital format (all others will remain in their original format):
- AP English Language and Composition
- AP English Literature and Composition
- AP European History

- AP United States History

Michelle Gu - Marine Art Contest
Please congratulate Michelle Gu, class of 2024, who was a finalist in the Scientific Illustration Division of a Marine Art competition hosted by Massachusetts Marine Educators and the NOAA Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Bike to School Day
Staff and students are encouraged to ride to CCHS in small groups. Be safe: wear a bike helmet and bright clothing. Students can earn up to 3 hours of community service for the round-trip! Check in with Green Team members near the Viking Vods/bike racks from 7:30 to 8 am and enjoy some cider & donuts!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Friday, October 28, from 8 am-2:41 pm at CCHS. Please be on the lookout for additional info and a signup link via School Soft Conferencing next week.
Pathways & Launch Bake Sale Fundraiser for Hurricane Relief
On Friday, October 7th, some of our Pathways and Launch students hosted a bake sale fundraiser for Hurricane Relief. Their donation will go to the American Red Cross. They had many tasty treats- many that were baked by the students. Their bake sale was well received and attended by faculty and administration. It was a great way to kick off a Friday!
