New Administrators Announcement

We are writing to let you know that we have finalized our hiring for our Administrative Team. We are thrilled to announce that we have hired two new Assistant Principals. They are:

Meghan Maines, Assistant Principal of Student Life

Darius Green, Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction

When we started the hiring process for these positions, we were looking for a Dean of Students and an Assistant Principal. After going through the process, we decided the school would be best served by having an Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction and an Assistant Principal of Student Life. We can't wait for Meghan and Darius to officially join our team on July 1st.  We hope to arrange a time for them to come to CCHS prior to the end of the year.

Thank you to the faculty, staff, and students who participated on the hiring committees. We are so appreciative of your time and input.

A Message From Our New Administrators

Meghan Maines

Dear Concord-Carlisle Community,

From the moment I stepped over the threshold of Concord-Carlisle High School it was clear I had found a special place. From the bright and welcoming foyer, to the students hard at work in the library, to the dedicated staff in the front office sorting out a new parking pass it was evident that this was a community I wanted to join. This feeling carried through my interviews where I had the pleasure of meeting dedicated, thoughtful faculty and curious, engaging students. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve this community as an Assistant Principal of Student Life.

For the past two years, I have served as the Assistant Principal at Wayland Middle School. Prior to joining the Wayland team, I spent six years as a Dean, Assistant Principal, and Principal at Success Academy Charter Schools in Harlem, New York, and taught world history at Phoenix Academy in Lawrence. I earned my B.A. in History from Occidental College and hold an M.A. in Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University.

As a lifelong learner, I am eager to join the inspiring leadership team at Concord-Carlisle High School, where I know I will continue to grow. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of your community and look forward to meeting you all in person soon.

Respectfully,

Meghan Maines

Dear Concord Carlisle School Community,

I am so excited and ecstatic to be joining the wonderful community of students, parents, guardians, and staff of Concord Carlisle High School that I am nearly speechless. I look forward to having open and honest dialogue with each and everyone of you as we navigate the complexities and intricacies of the high school experience. Over the next few months, I am hoping to hear and share our stories in order create a deeper sense of belonging to the school, the community, and to each other.

It is with great honor that I was selected as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction.  I come to you having worked my way up from a teaching assistant of three years at Boston Community Academy and Boston Latin School, to a high school math teacher of ten years at Boston Hyde Park High School, Boston Engineering School, and Boston English High School. I then transitioned to administration as an Assistant Principal at Somerville High School for ten years and most recently as Associate Principal at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School for the last three years.

This journey began after earning two Bachelor Degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, one in History and another in Psychology.  Beyond the undergraduate degrees, I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College and a Doctoral Degree in Law and Policy from Northeastern University.  I share this with you as a testament of my belief in lifelong learning and a relentless pursuit in personal and professional development.

What we choose to learn and how we learn is individual to each of us and that is what I appreciate about my role as a high school administrator.  I am very excited to be joining the Concord Carlisle team and their efforts to guiding our young scholars in finding what they love to do and supporting their success on how to achieve it.

Sincerely,

Dr. Darius S. Green
